Day 3 and we are still having fun! The girls and guys competed this morning in the annual girls versus boys fishing tournament. Campers and counselors grabbed their poles and lures, and with the help of our dock team, reeled in tons of fish! It was a close competition that came down to the very last minutes! The boys just barely caught enough fish to overcome the girls. Their reward? Having their lunch trays picked up by the girls! Needless to say, we will be eating well at the fish fry on Friday night! We moved on up to the pool party this afternoon where we had burgers and hot dogs, water inflatables, lots of music and fun in the sun!
The counselors competed in our annual counselor canoe race this afternoon. There were ten canoes of girl/guy counselor teams. Mr. Jack, our head fisherman, drove his bass boat around the water to create waves and try to tip our teams out of their canoes. It was a crazy race. Some teams tipped right after the starting gun! A battle broke out in the waters when counselors who had already tipped started tipping other teams. The finish was close, but our counselors Jim and Danielle were our victors!
Arts and Crafts was a blast today! The campers got to tye-dye their own t-shirts with the help of Mrs. Peggy, Mrs. Vicki and the rest of the craft staff. The shirts are looking AWESOME!
Tonight was Entertainment night and it definitely lived up to its name! Our counselors had us rolling with laughter from the skits they put on for us tonight. We’ve got some very funny people running around here! We also had a few “minute to win it” games that the campers competed in. It was quite a night!
Bed time is near and we are all getting heavy eyelids! Time to get some rest before our big day with the BWC members tomorrow!
